Outfit of the Day: Mustard and Zebra

Mustard. The pair to ketchup and the color of fall.

See how I did it!

1. The scarf actually started it. :) I found this gem for $4.98 at Target. Also, the website says black and white. They straight up lied or I'm straight up color deficient. It's navy and white. ;)
2. I've had this mustard peasant top for years. I scored it at Target for (if I remember correctly) around $12.00. Still fits, still awesome!
3. The skirt was a NY&Company find on clearance about a year ago. It's a couple inches too short for school, but not immodest yet! :) This puppy was less than $10.00! :)
4. The earrings were a clearance find at Target also. $2.98. :)
5. I'm sure you're tired of hearing about Target's clearance rack, but the blazer was quite the find at $4.98 about a year ago. I just wish I had snagged a black one too!
6. And those shoes... again, Target clearance. $4.98. :)

Grand total for the outfit was $39.92. But I purchased the top in high school, and built on the outfit using my frugality and clearance rack skills. Each piece is versatile, which makes the purchases more worth my while. I try not to spend even regular (Target) price on anything that is seasonal or trendy. These pieces can be mixed and matched for years!

Outfit of the Day: Classy with a side of... Trench?

A couple brief things. 1. I'm coaching a basketball game today, so I had to try a little harder. 2. It was approaching 60 degrees when I left the house this morning... talked about GORGEOUS (thus the sandals)!

I stole today's look from Pinterest. :) I felt accomplished as I planned out my outfit, almost like I was planning something meaningful, like a military attack. Nonetheless...

The skirt is from Target a few years back.
The shirt is a steal I got from New York and Company over the summer.
The sweater was off of a Target clearance rack... $5.98!
My sandals were also a deal from Target this summer.
My super amazing trench-coat is from an 80% off sale at New York and Company over Christmas. Originally $89.95, but I paid $17.99!

Outfit of the Day: a little brown and bronze

Since Wednesday is never my best-dressed day, I'll give up on that parameter.

Today's sweater is from The Limited:
Thanks to all sorts of coupons, special deals, a $15 off coupon and my teacher discount, this sweater was a steal! I love the kimono sleeves, the texture of the sweater and the length of the torso. It looks superb with a skinny belt, chunky belt, or no belt. :) Today, I went with no belt. :)

Skirt courtesy of the one and only Target! Clearance racks often contain the most wonderful things. And sure enough, I found this puppy hidden amongst the plus sizes. For those of you who know how I'm built, you'll know I have an "athletic figure" . . . meaning I have zero hips. Which came in handy in turning this around the waist pencil skirt into a skirt I could easily wear around my hips. :) And at $4.98, I looked classy and didn't break the bank!

Today, I busted out my boots. Big fan of these Maurice's clearance find. :) LOVE! The weather was chilly this morning, so the boots just completed the Friday ensemble.
My nails were painted a deep plum and my ears were graced with bronze beaded pendant earrings from Portugal. :)

Outfit of the Day: Simple and Chic

today's post is actually about what I'm wearing NOW! on a WEDNESDAY! :)

1. the shirt is from Express for $10.00. Originally $19.50. I LOVE the feel of this simple tee and it lays well and is LONG! I'm excited to layer it with winter clothes once the temperature gets below... 90 degrees?
2. crop pants from Target! on sale 30% off. versatile. and cool. and still dressy.
3. shoes. love them.

4. necklace. from New York and Company. $2.99. WINNER!

Another outfit ready to mix and match. :)
